In the middle, the colors met and made a beautiful peachy orange. At the other end, I used another blending brush to blend Wild Dandelion ink onto the panel. Next, I used a blending brush to blend Passionate Pink ink onto one end of the panel. I began by using Post-it Tape to mask off a half-inch border on an A2-sized piece of white Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I love these bold lines and so I created a bold background for them. My second card today features a large floral stamp from kit. I glued a couple of gems to the centers of the flowers and finally, I used foam tape to adhere the card front to the center of an A2-sized card base. I adhered the die-cut sentiment with glue and then added the small “grateful” with foam tape. To assemble the card, I adhered the two smaller flowers with adhesive dots and then adhered the larger flower with foam tape. When the splatter was dry, I trimmed about a quarter inch off the length and the width. To complete the sentiment, I stamped “grateful” (included in the kit) in black ink onto white cardstock and trimmed it into a strip.įor the background, splattered some white Dina Wakely Media Gloss Spray over 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of the light blue cardstock that comes with the kit. This helps give support and dimension without having to cut tiny strips of foam tape. Because I knew I’d want some dimension to this sentiment and that foam tape behind vellum would be tricky to conceal, I cut three “forever” three more times from scrap heavy white cardstock, layered and adhered the them together, and then adhered the piece to the back of the vellum. Next, I used one of the sentiment dies to cut “forever” from black cardstock, and its shadow layer from vellum. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Forever Gratefulįor my first card today I used white embossing powder to heat emboss three flowers onto the Coral Reef cardstock that comes with the kit. Also in the kit are two sheets each of four of Gina’s amazing cardstock colors. The kit includes two 6″ x 8″ stamp sets, each with coordinating dies, a set of standalone sentiment dies with shadow layers that coordinate nicely with the sentiments in the large stamp sets, and a standalone 4″ x 6″ stamp set. Designs release is live and this month’s Forever Flowers card kit is fabulous for you floral lovers! So far I’ve played mostly with just one of the THREE floral stamps sets in the kit and am sharing two cards today, so please do check out the full kit to see what other possibilities there are (I can’t wait to color up the daffodils!). Well i’m happy to share that has in fact created my”ultimate” inspired holiday card kit including those district market holiday cards and holiday adornments, plus many other favorites including the seasonal palette of distress ink, distress glitter, holiday tissue tape, remnant rubs, tinsel twine, trimmings, cardstock, stickers, a selection of some of my favorite holiday stamp designs, and much more.Hello there, I hope you’re having a lovely day! well that only made heidi more determined to get her hands on any remaining stock she could find of these items to assemble this ultimate kit (and if you’ve met heidi you know once she sets her mind to do something, she does it)… not to burst her bubble, but i explained that some of my favorites were products from a couple of years ago, and no longer available like my holiday district market cards, and my favorite holiday adornment charms. she asked if i would share in detail what those favorites were because she wanted to gather them to offer a holiday kit to her customers. No doubt that reply gave heidi (the owner of simon says) the incentive, challenge, motivation, and determination to find out what those things were. It’s been a crazy week with so much going on! the start of creative chemistry 102 on monday, the new shatter layering stencil release announced yesterday, and now today even more great news! i was contacted earlier this year by my friends at asking me what my “ultimate” holiday card kit is? what would it include? what would be my must have holiday elements? to be honest, my reply to them was that i already had everything i would consider to be my ultimate holiday card kit (ok i admit, i have quite the stash of some of my favorite past holiday products that i use for my holiday cards)…
